Sylvia Mueller Davis

Sylvia Ann Mueller Davis, age 74 of Austin, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Seton Hospital in Austin, Texas.

Sylvia was born on November 22, 1943, in Westhoff, Texas to Adolph John and Clara Louise Gaedke Mueller. She had three brothers, Willard, wife Connie; Neal, wife Louella; and Harry Lee, wife Joann.

She was married on December 1, 1963, to Ross Stanford Davis, Jr. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Westhoff, Texas. She was employed by the City of Austin Transportation Department as an Administrative Assistant.

Sylvia was caring, compassionate and loving. She delivered meals for Meals on Wheels and served on the Board of Directors as Secretary/Treasurer for ARCIL, Inc.—a non-profit that helps people with disabilities learn life skills. She was associated with this non-profit for over 20 years.

She is survived by her spouse, Ross S. Davis, Jr. and her daughter, Dianne Carol Davis. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Joann Mueller and several nieces and nephews and their families. Her parents, her three brothers, and two sisters-in law predeceased her.

There will be a memorial service for Sylvia on Saturday, December 1, 2018, which would have been her 55th wedding anniversary. The service will be at Abiding Love Lutheran Church, 7210 Brush Country Rd, Austin, with Pastor Brad Highum presiding. There will be a reception following the service.
