ANGELA PICCIANDRA LEE, age 57 of Austin, Texas passed away on January 21, 2018. She was born January 25, 1960 in Austin to Remolo ("Joe") and Jessie Picciandra. She worked for the United States Postal Service for 29 years. She started out as a box sorter in Lago Vista, and worked her way up to a rural carrier for Oak Hill, Westlake, Lake Travis and Southeast stations. She not only was dedicated to the post office, she was dedicated to her customers and family.
Many of Angela's days were filled with taking care of the people she loved and those around her. She always found the good in everyone she met --she never met a stranger she didn’t love. Her kindness resonated all around. She had a great sense of humor and wanted to make everyone around her smile. Many of her customers could find her at their mailbox dancing and singing as she had a love for music. She was an animal lover as there was never an animal in her presence left astray. You could always find her in the kitchen cooking and baking. She enjoyed gathering pecans to bake her famous cakes and breads for her family and friends.
Angela is survived by her daughter Jessica Picciandra and grandson Romeo; her brother Paul and his wife Jody; her brother David and his wife Judy; her sister Deborah; her brother Michael and his wife Lisa; her brother John; her brother Charles and his wife Nancy, and lots of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews that will find life hard without her. She is and will be missed.
The Memorial Service will be held on February 3, 2018 at 7pm at Saint Ignatius Catholic Church, 126 W. Oltorf St. Austin, TX 78704.
