Martin Reyes

Martin Reyes, 58, of Manor, TX, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018; 33 days after the death of his beloved wife of 36 years, Virginia Carlin Reyes. He was born November 9, 1959, to Luciano Sr and Nellie Reyes.  Martin is survived by his only daughter, Rita Roxanna Reyes and son in law, Erik James Perez, Sr.; Honorary daughter, Andrea Nicole Galvan.  His Yaya's, Aniya Jade Perez, Mya Roxane Reyes Perez, granddaughters Emerie & Erikah Perez; Grandsons Erik, Jr and Elijah Perez. Step-daughter Rebecca Angela Ojeda (Ray). Step-Grandsons Christopher, Matthew (Ann), Justin (Kimrey) Ontiveros.  Along with 5 great grandchildren; Mother Nellie Reyes; siblings Hope (Toni) Reyes, Frank Reyes, Danny (Tammy) Reyes and Tracy Medearis. As well as nieces; Angela, DawnAnne Reyes, Danielle Sweet-Reyes, Ariana and Cygney Medearis and nephews; Brian Reyes and Tomas Sweet-Reyes (Karessa); great niece Isabella Harsh and Barbara Sweet-Reyes; great nephew Tomas Sweet-Reyes, Jr. As well as uncles, aunts and numerous cousins in and around the Manor community.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, Virginia, father Luciano, Sr and brother Luciano Reyes, Jr.; and his father and mother in law Eusebio and Ynocente Carlin.

Martin loved to attend Manor Mustang football games throughout the years alongside his wife Virginia. His greatest passion was organizing the Annual Easter Egg Hunt @ Ben Fisher Park, serving over 400 community kids, until his health began to weaken. He also contributed to organizing block parties (The Big Throw Down) in Nu-Katy shutting down Armstrong Ave and sharing in memorable moments with his neighborhood family that he enjoyed & cherished. Martin treasured his Reyes, Marciel and Nu-Katy (Davis) family dearly.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the East Rural Community Center Senior Luncheon Program; 600 W Carrie Manor St, Manor, TX 78653

Martin’s Rosary services will be February 10, 2018 at 2pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1300 Old Hwy 20, Manor, TX 78653.  A combined burial for Martin & Virginia will take place soon
