Benigno Ruiz, 95 years of age of Round Rock, Texas was born February 13, 1925 and passed away peacefully on June 30, 2020 with his wife Lucia and his oldest daughter Maria by his side. He is survived by his lifetime companion and lovely wife, Lucia of 70 years, his three daughters: Maria (Benito), Dora (Victor), Luly (Hector). Seven grandchildren, Lety, (Edward), Claudia (Anthony), Lizette (Peter), Angel (Amber), Adrian, Diandra (Chris), and Lorenzo. Fourteen great-grandchildren, Ariel, Samuel, Trinitie, Destinee, Lilyanna, Lorallye, Daniella, Estella, Elloise, Jaden, Jaxon, Jewel, Penelope and Leilah. He was preceded in death by his mother, Librada, daughter, Berta Alicia and son, Horacio. Benigno lived in Villa Ahumada, Chihuahua Mexico, where he met the love of his life, Lucia Lopez, after they got married they moved to Juarez Chihuahua Mexico and eventually he migrated his family to the USA in 1969. Benigno lived most of his life with his wife in Anthony, NM, where he was very active with the local church and friends. He was loved and all knew of his giving heart.

Benigno knew what it was to work hard and his dream was for his three daughters to go to school and be successful in life. He worked as a dairy foreman for 30 years until he retired in 1981. He enjoyed working in his yard building benches, painting his house and fence, he built a garage, he planted a peach tree, a pecan tree, cactus, squash, he even grew watermelons. He enjoyed cooking in a small skillet, what he called “grill”. He traveled to several states, Alaska was one of the states he visited and had a chance to go fishing. He caught a salmon for the first time in his life and every time he told the story about his fishing experience the weight of the fish kept getting bigger. He attended church and most of all enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Our dad was a generous, wise and loveable man who had a great sense of humor. He also had a zest for life. He made you feel good just being around him and he never had a negative word to say about anyone. He lived the last seven years of his life happily with his wife Lucia, daughter Dora and son in law Victor. His Motto was “Dios no se eequivoca” God doesn’t make mistakes.

Our Dad was blessed and he blessed many. “We Love You Dad”.
