Shirley Ann Flint White, the daughter of Raymond Flint (MT Lewis) and Mary Lee Flint Lewis was born September 1, 1954 in Austin, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Flint (MT Lewis), her mother Mary Lee Flint Lewis, her son Reginald Swist, her brother Larry Lewis, her brother Don Albert Clemons, her sister Enola Flint and her husband Daniel White. Shirley graduated from Johnston High School. After High School she earned her CNA certification. She later continued her education attending night classes at Austin Community College where she would earn her LVN license. She continued her nursing career working at Austin Retirement and Nursing Center. Working many years at the Nursing Center Shirley was a favorite among the patients and staff. She accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. Shirley was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church. She was a dedicated worker in the church. She was a Sunday school teacher, Usher and a Mission member. She enjoyed doing puzzles, crosswords and her Candy Crush. Shirley would often tell you “I love you but Jesus loves you more” and she would quote John 3:16. Most of us know that when you went by her house or talked to her on the phone and she had her coffee, you definitely were going to get some kind of Word that would stay with you the entire day. She loved the Lord and her family and it showed throughout her life. Cherishing and remembering her memories include her children; daughter Tessa Joiner (Jerone)-Greg, Jarvis, Bradon, Briana, her son Cornelious Swist- Kendall, and daughter Mozelle Swist (Robert Cleveland)- Sha’Myra, Tiara. Her siblings; Kenneth Michael Clemons, MT Lewis, Helen Marie Dembo (Dornelle), Mary Ann Flint, Ruby Gamble (Earl), Gloria Jean Smith (Anthony), Rodney Lewis. Special friends Reginald Swist, Charles and Mae Adams and Sister Burleson. And a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
